Well, I've put my latest Super Saiyajin project on hold, as I'll be uploading a brand new deviation VERY soon.
Iam trying to explore a new way of painting and put my dubious lineart qualities to the test... Also, this will be my humble tribute to the recent uprising of the tibetan people.

Ok there has been this controversy among Dragon Ball fans regarding the birth of the Super Saiyajin legend. Most agree that Broly IS the true Legendary SSJ, due to his ridiculus power since childwood, and latter reference to his Legendary status (though only stated by Paragus and Vegeta). Anyhow, loads of theories say Broly was only granted with Legendary status due to lack of knowledge by the DBZ cast. In fact, many people state that the infamous bulky Legendary SSJ form is nothing but a controlled version of an Ultra Super Saiyajin. That makes sense I guess...
Anyhow, this got me thinking... Even if Broly IS the Saiyajin of Legend, the Sayajin race has been travelling through the Universe for hundreds of years, so I guess there WAS someone whom achieved the grade of Super Saiyajin WAY before Goku and the others.

Well, you guessed it right, that's my next project. I'am hand drawing an all new character related to the Legend... Keep an eye on my gallery/journal to learn more!

Plus, his name WILL be based on a vegetable, Toriyama/Toei's style! Oh yeah.



EDIT~ Well I just figured the pose and overall design of the upcoming Saiyajin piece, though Iam a little short on time, so expect a delay on the upload...

I've been drawing Dragon Ball sketches for years now. I started at age 6. Cleverly hidden from the outside, troubled world, I stood in awe at Toriyama's artwork, since the time I first watched a Dragon Ball episode. The simplicity mixed with a delightful naive look caught my eye from day one.

Since those days, I've evolved as a wannabe anime artist, but strangely, there still was one character, or transformation, I never really managed to capture. Be it the ridicously long and fluid hair, or the lack of real creative challenge in wich I try to base all my work on, I never drew a decent Super Saiyajin 3 (or Saiyan 3). Well, the launch of my deviantART page and gallery (presented by my lineart for Royal Paragus, go take a look at my gallery), prompted a goal I'am expecting to achieve in the upcoming days. Yes, I'am hand drawing a SSJ3 Goku (don't blame for the lack of originality this time, but... I'll be sure to add a few twists!). Hurray. Also, I'am adding a few scans from my personal "historical" collection, including SSJ3 efforts over the years. You can call it The Super Saiyajin 3 week, but... eh, that would be an obvious cliché right ? So please don't.
Anyhow, when you see my first SSJ3, drawn when I was arround 6, you'll laugh out loud. Or, as you angry teens out there would spell it, you'll LOL or ROTFLOL. Whichever you choose, be sure to keep an eye on my gallery!

Anyhow, while I'am still fighting with my scanner for clean and sharp scans, expect new entries to the gallery, VERY soon.
